Sorry for the delay in my latest blog, but I bring you the Thanksgiving special. Sometimes blogs come easy to me and I have a thought and the words flow, but I’m struggling tonight. I’m very appreciative that the boss man gives me the freedom to not only write about how I feel about things in addition to work related topics. I’ll take the easy approach to this blog and write about being thankful.
It’s really easy to complain about what you don’t have or things you wish in your life were different. Trust me I’m probably as guilty as the next person is on this topic. Something that some of my friends have been doing on Facebook is to post something they are thankful for every day of November. While it’s not something I participate in it’s a cool concept to do. I’m very thankful for my health, my family, my fiance, and most importantly a job I really love.
The year is coming to a close here in just about a month and as I reflect back on the year I’m thankful for the opportunities that I’ve been given here at CSI Tech. Being a smaller unit I’ve been able to learn and take on a lot of responsibilities not offered to people in a larger organization. Besides my awesome blog (I know humility is my strong suit) I also get to run social media campaigns on twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn. I also get to sit in on our committees for technology, branding, and rewards and recognition. It’s been such a great learning experience and I’m so thankful for the ability to help shape where our unit is going.
Now all of the above is great, but let’s face it we work for money and CSI Tech provides the opportunity to provide for my family. CSI Tech provides every possible resource to their employees to be able to be successful at work. I’m so thankful for being able to come to work and have the support of my managers. I can pick up the phone and talk to anyone in my company if I’m having a problem. Not only do I have access to anyone in the company is that my ideas are listened to and I have the ability to implement ideas I have.
When you look at everything within my unit it really summarizes People. Done Right. I’m so thankful for my job and I can’t wait to see what the rest of 2013 holds and the years beyond that!
